Our Pinays worked abroad for their families. Leaving their families especially their kids is not easy for them but they need to. They work hard for money, but sometimes, they get abused, tortured, some of them even die.

But what is this? A British Comedy called "Harry and Paul" making up stories of Filipina OFWs as sexual objects? Do you think it's funny?

After posting Yeng Constantino as my favorite singer, now I need to make a post about my favorite dancer. :)

Not just my favorite dancer, but one of celebrities that I admired most. She got pretty face, nice body (woohoo), great dancer, nice behavior and smile. She's from Anna S. Feliciano's (ASF) Dancers of Wowowee.

Yeah, no other than Milagring. That TV name was given by either Willie Revillame or from TV director Edgar "Bobot" Mortiz, but her screen name is Danna De Castro. Yes, Danna De Castro is just her screen name. I'm not quite sure about this but as I've read and heard from others, Danna is her nickname and De Castro was her ex-boyfriend's surname.

Her real name is Annaliza/Anna Liza Baldonado. From Cabuyao, Laguna. I think I need to research more of her to update this post.

Virus on T-shirt!

We're planning to make a shirt with a custom design as our uniform. I tried to make a design for a logo, and other things to be print on T-shirt using Adobe Photoshop CS2 (not updated yet to CS4, whew).

And here's what I've created:

I edited the logo of PSP, and put our company's initial on it. Almost all of us owned a PSP, and I can say that all of us were addicted to this gadget so, I decided to add this one in our shirt's design. This one will be print on the upper part of the back of T-shirt. Anyway, the color of shirt is black.

Then, Shift 2 because we belong to 2nd shift in our work. Well, not the best shift in our company, but the happiest and coolest. I'm planning to put this mark either on sleeve or on lower-left of the shirt.

This is the logo I've created for our team and I named it Virus. Well, because we are using a computer in our work, so I think it's okay to use this name. Other than that, no idea, lol.

I showed it to my mate but he asked me to darken the color of red. To be more match with the shirt's color. So, I edited that one and this is the result:

Anyway, this is not the official logo for our team. I need to present it first to them, and if they approve my work, then, it's ready to print.

In a segment/game portion in Wowowee named Hep Hep Hooray, they are choosing "Rexona girl of a day." A girl who's having the whitest and smoothest underarm will be the winner.

One day in that said game, Willie Revillame (host of the show) told the contestants to raise their hands and show their armpit so he can choose the Rexona girl of the day. And one of the contestants, an old lady, raised her clothes to show her armpit.

Today is Philippine Independence Day (Filipino: Araw ng Kasarinlan, Araw ng Kalayaan) commemorating the country's declaration of independence from Spain on June 12, 1898 is a regular holiday in the Philippines.

The Philippine Declaration of Independence occurred on June 12, 1898 in the Philippines, where Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo (later to become the Philippines' first Republican President) proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain after the latter was defeated at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War.

I noticed most Fil Am's dont even care about the Philippines, they always say 'WE' referring to the US, and they sh*t like "I am wrong for saying the Philippines is part of Asia and they say I am not educated like them cause I went to school in the Philippines, they don't even know our education, they never even been there", who the f*ck do they think they are, alot of them are ignorant and stuck up.

Do you know these persons? These are the names of the medical practitioners involved in the highly controversial Cebu Surgery Scandal (released by the Department of Health). These are the doctors and nurses who performed surgery to remove a foreign object (a perfume cannister) from a victim's rectum. They were laughing during performing that operation. While they doing it, some members of operating staff recorded a video and uploaded it to YouTube. (You can watch the video here.)

I created this blog to show world that we are proud being Pinoy with our talents and skills. But with this kind of scandal, I don't think it helps us to be proud of.

The country is waiting for more names to be included in the list in the coming days, so that justice can be served.

All of My Transactions in Paypal was Held?

I have my verified account on Paypal. I already made transactions using that account. I withdrawn my money from Paypal thru my Bank this morning but after checking my account this night, I was surprised! My transactions was being in status of "Temporary Hold."

What does this mean? I was thinking if i did something wrong or broke some rules and policy of their conditions. But I don't think I did. I thought that one of my buyer got some problem in our transaction, so I replied to resolve that case in my Paypal account.

But suddenly, a new message from Paypal was appeared on my email. Another "Temporary Hold" status. I did again what I have done earlier. And then, I received another email. And again, and again. When I checked my Paypal account, all of my transactions even the successful transactions I made, are all "Temporary Hold" status.

And not just that, my account access is limited. Means, I can't receive payments, send or request money, can't electronically transfer funds from my Paypal account and even close my account.

I only got $20 in my balance, but now, I have -$90. Do I need to pay that $90 to get my account active again? Are there anyone encountered this type of problem in your Paypal account? Can you help me about this matter?

The Singing Bee

ABS-CBN will launch a new game show in television, The Singing Bee. Combining karaoke singing with a spelling bee-style competition, this show features contestants trying to remember the lyrics to popular songs. In each episode, six contestants (four contestants in season two) will be selected from the audience to play a series of games that test their knowledge of song lyrics. If a contestant makes an error, he or she will forfeit her chance to get into the "musical chairs". If a contestant is not in a musical chair when the round is over, he or she is eliminated.

At the start of the show, the band plays a song and the host "randomly" gives audience members a chance to sing part of the song. If they sing it correctly, they become one of the contestants on the show. This part of the show is actually staged, and the contestants are preselected.

This game show is soon to be air on television, only in ABS-CBN.

Hi everyone! Do you believe in ghosts? Or some paranormal things or activities in this world? I have received an email from Christianne Bautista (nhoellah@yahoo.com) about his/her (not sure if he/she is a girl or boy) experiences about ghosts. I have a website concerning about ghost stories past months ago, but I didn't continued updating it. But now, I will post this story in this blog for you to read his/her story.

actually, as far as i remember i had my first ghostly experience when i was about 5 or 6..... i went to the farm with my lolo..... part of the farm is a big mango tree.... that time we were the only person on the farm..... i get bored so i decided to go home then.....medyo may kalayuan ung farm sa bahay namin, and wlang kabahay-bahay na madadaanan....nung nalampasan ko na ang puno ng mangga, may sumitsit sa kin... lumingon ako, pero walang tao....palakas ng palakas ang ingay kaya sa takot ko tumakbo ako papauwi habang nagdadasal....when i got home, i never told anyone what happened.... i thought it won't happened again.... Grade 3 ako nun...i was watching tv on the sala....i was left alone in the house..... napatingin ako sa may tindahan namin ng may nakita akong isang babaeng nakaputi na mahaba ang buhok floating in the air at bigla nalang nawala....but i wasnt shock or even even had goosebumps...kc for me it was just like guni-guni.....nung sumunod, dun pa rin sa sala ng bahay namin.... there were sheets of yellow paper on the table...i was about to go upstairs nung napansin kung parang binubuklat ung mga papel...tiningnan ko kung may electric fan ba na naka on o kaya baka mahangin lang pero wala....a minute after, dun ko na napansin na mahangin sa labas kc gumalaw na ung kurtina sa bintana...pero nung tingnan ko uli ung mga papel, napatitig ako ng di ito nagagalaw ng hangin....pero tahimik pa rin ako nun, yun pala napansin din ng nanay ko...

actually my story doesnt end there....meron pa akong mga experience...bumalik un nung mag college na ako...kc 2 of my older brothers have ghost experience...im thingking to myself na cguro cla lang ung may gan un na abilities, to see extraordinary things...not until one night....it was me and my bother sa kwarto....ako sa kama at cya sa lapag...at that time we had a visitor....it was about 4 in the morming nung nagising ako narinig ko na naka on na ung tv sa sala...pero nakahiga pa rin ako nun....not until may napansin akong may naglalaro sa unan ko...2 maliliit na creatures....for me magkapatid cla..isang babae at lalaki....when i was about to turn my head hindi ako makagalaw, namanhid ung buong katawan ko....sumagi sa isip ko ang magdasal..kaya i start praying OUR FATHER, in the middle of the prayer i felt heat coming from my heart hanggang sa buong katawan ko... nung makagalaw ako, they were gone...kaya tumayo ako at lumipat ako sa sala...gising na pala papa ko that time, he was preparing our breakfast...nung nakita nya ako, he asked why i was there, and i told him the whole story... but it wasnt the scariest thing that happened to me...

It was still on my college years....at that time there were strange things happened to my older brother.....instead of sleeping on his own room, dun cya nakitulog sa room ng parents namin ksma ung bunso namin..so mag-isa lang ako sa kwarto ko...i was lying on my bed. closing my eyes but my mind is still awake....suddenly i felt something strange...tas bigla nalng may tabing tumabi sa akin, marami, i can feel it because it is a single bed...the worst is, to my surprise, they are all dead person...marami cla...sa takot ko, di ako sumigaw, pero nanlalamig ako...tumayo ako at lumipat ako sa kabilang kwarto...nagulat cla nung nakihiga na ako dun, tas pinapatay ko pa ung electricfan kc giniginaw na ako when in fact ang init nun...they ask me what happened so i told them what happened....my mother told me not to be afraid, kc daw pag natatakot ka, mas lalo ka lang daw tatakutin...tas hanggang sa nakatulog na ako...the night after, sa iisang kwarto pa rin cla nakahiga, tas ako bumalik na sa kwarto ko... it was still the same scenario, i closed my eyes but my mind was awake...suddenly, one of the dead person was standing in front of me....(i cant forget his face until now), he was about 5'6 tall, he is so pale wearing old polo barong with black slacks,,,medyo kulot ung buhok nya na parang nka gel...and then i realize he was not alone....there was a fat lady on the window waiting for him smiling...i was just looking at him...tas tinapik niya ung binti ko sabay sabing, "cge dadaan lang ako, alis na ako."...tas nun nawala na....kaya natulog nalng din ako....i wasnt scared because of what my mom told me....from then on, nakakakita ako at nakakaramdam na ako ng mga kakaiba pero di naman palagi.....pero it was gone for years....i thought wala na.....pero lately lang meron na namang nagyari doon sa ofic na pinagtatrabahuan ko....(til next time)...

Open the command prompt from the right-click menu

For accomplishing certain tasks, such as the mass deleting or renaming of files, the command prompt is the ideal tool. Often, you'll combine its use with Windows Explorer, and so you may want to open the command prompt at the folder that's your current location in Explorer.

Wouldn't it be nice to add an option to the right-click context menu that would open a command prompt at your current folder? For example, if you were to right-click the C:\My Stuff folder, you could then open a command prompt at C:\My Stuff.

In Vista, it's easy to do. Hold down Shift when you right-click in a folder window, and a new option appears on the context menu: Open Command Window Here. Select it and there you are in an appropriately located command prompt.

In XP, that option doesn't appear, but you can add it with a Registry tweak.

Launch the Registry Editor by typing regedit at the Start Search box or a command prompt, then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Folder\shell
Create a new key called Command Prompt. For the default value, enter whatever text you want to appear when you right-click a folder -- for example, Open Command Prompt.
Create a new subkey beneath the Command Prompt key called Command. Set the default value to Cmd.exe /k pushd %L
Exit the Registry. The new menu option will show up immediately. Note that it won't appear when you right-click a file; it shows up only when you right-click a folder.

I read from a blog that "Google" was misspelled. So, I tried to search about this matter and I found out the origin of this company name.

In 1996, Larry Page and Sergey Brin called their initial search engine "BackRub," named for its analysis of the web's "back links." Larry's office was in room 360 of the Gates CS Building, which he shared with several other graduate students, including Sean Anderson, Tamara Munzner, and Lucas Pereira. In 1997, Larry and his officemates discussed a number of possible new names for the rapidly improving search technology. Sean recalls the final brainstorming session as occurring one day during September of that year.

Sean and Larry were in their office, using the whiteboard, trying to think up a good name - something that related to the indexing of an immense amount of data. Sean verbally suggested the word "googolplex," and Larry responded verbally with the shortened form, "googol" (both words refer to specific large numbers). Sean was seated at his computer terminal, so he executed a search of the Internet domain name registry database to see if the newly suggested name was still available for registration and use. Hm, maybe some of you share computers with family and just have something related to hacking, scripting, etc. that you don't want them to see. Maybe some of you want a "special" porn account, lol. Who knows.

Instructions:

goto Start-run- and type regedit

In the menu goto

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > WindowsNT > CurrentVersion > Winlogon > SpecialAccounts > UserList

Right click in the window and select string value

Right click on the new string value and click rename

Type the name of the account you want to hide (exactly the way it is spelled)

Hit enter then right click on the string value again and click value change value to zero which hides it 1 shows it

Now exit the registry and logoff

Goto welcome screen and hit ctrl+alt+del twice to bring up old logon prompt

Type the hidden accounts name and password

This will also hide all the files under this account name.

Note: Account has to already be made.

Now here are some Tips&Tricks that can help you double the speed of Firefox.

1. Type about:config in the address bar and then press Enter.

2. In the filter search bar type network.http.pipelining. Be sure the value field is set true,if not double-click to set true. HTTP is the application-layer protocol that most web pages are transferred with. In HTTP 1.1, multiple requests can be sent before any responses are received. This is known as pipelining. Pipelining reduces page loading times, but not all servers support it.

3. Go back to the filter search bar and type network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. Double-click this option and set its value to 8.

4. In the filter search bar and type network.http.proxy.pipelining. Once opened doubleclick on it and set it to true.

5. In IPv6-capable DNS servers, an IPv4 address may be returned when an IPv6 address is requested. It is possible for Mozilla to recover from this misinformation, but a significant delay is introduced.
Type network.dns.disableIPv6 in the filter search bar and set this option to true by double clicking on it.

6. CONTENT INTERRUPT PARSING
This preference controls if the application will interrupt parsing a page to respond to UI events. It does not exist by default. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu. Then:
A. Enter content.interrupt.parsing in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK
B. When prompted to choose the value for the new boolean, select true and click OK.

7. Rather than wait until a page has completely downloaded to display it to the user, Mozilla applications will regularly render what has been received to that point. This option controls the maximum amount of time the application will be unresponsive while rendering pages. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Enter content.max.tokenizing.time in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK

8. CONTENT NOTIFY INTERVAL
This option sets the minimum amount of time to wait between reflows. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Type content.notify.interval in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.

9. CONTENT NOTIFY ONTIMER
A. This option sets if to reflow pages at an interval any higher than that specified by content.notify.interval. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu.
B. Type content.notify.ontimer in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK.
C. You will be prompted to choose the value for the new boolean. Select true and click OK.

10. Notify Backoffcount
This option controls the maximum number of times the content will do timer-based reflows. After this number has been reached, the page will only reflow once it is finished downloading. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Enter content.notify.backoffcount in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 5 and click OK.

11. CONTENT SWITCH THRESHOLD
You can interact with a loading page when content.interrupt.parsing is set to true. When a page is loading, the application has two modes: a high frequency interrupt mode and a low frequency interrupt mode. The first one interrupts the parser more frequently to allow for greater UI responsiveness during page load.
The low frequency interrupt mode interrupts the parser less frequently to allow for quicker page load. The application enters high frequency interrupt mode when you move the mouse or type on the keyboard and switch back to low frequency mode when you had no activity for a certain amount of time. This preference controls that amount of time. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Enter content.switch.threshold in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.

12. NGLAYOUT INITIALPAINT DELAY
Mozilla applications render web pages incrementally, they display what’s been received
of a page before the entire page has been downloaded. Since the start of a web page
normally doesn’t have much useful information to display, Mozilla applications will wait
a short interval before first rendering a page. This preference controls that interval. Rightclick (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Enter nglayout.initialpaint.delay in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 0 and click OK.
